This page explains the cookies and similar storage used by the Kilrenny Mill Coastal Escapes website. Cookies are small files saved by a browser. Local storage also saves information on your device, but is not sent with every page request.

Storage used by this website

Your cookie choice

km-cookie-consent-v1 is stored by this website in your browser’s local storage. It records whether you allow optional review widgets and when you made that choice. We honour it for 180 days, then ask again. It is used to remember and apply your privacy choice, not for advertising.

Your colour theme

km-theme is saved in local storage when you use the light/dark theme button. It remembers the display preference you request until you clear your browser’s site data. If you have not chosen a theme, the website follows your device setting.

Optional guest-review widgets

Our Reviews page can display Google and Airbnb reviews through Elfsight. When you allow these widgets, your browser connects to Elfsight and any services the widgets use to display reviews, images or fonts. These requests disclose connection information such as your IP address and browser details to those services.

Elfsight documents an optional cookie called elfsight_viewed_recently, set on core.service.elfsight.com for approximately 15 seconds to avoid counting repeat widget views. Its behaviour can also depend on your browser settings.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. You can switch to “Reject optional cookies” at any time. If review widgets have already loaded, the page refreshes to stop them running and prevents them loading again while your rejection is saved.

Our controls cannot delete cookies stored on another provider’s domain. You can remove existing cookies and local storage using your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing this website’s data also clears your saved choices. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies to the current page and you may be asked again on another page or visit.

Bookings and other websites

Our booking buttons open Lodgify on a separate website. Lodgify has its own cookie controls and privacy information; choices made here do not apply there. The same applies when you follow other external links.
